Having visited and painted in Kerrville for several years, it felt very personal when the floods devastated the area and took so many innocent lives. Now the river has a new look and feeling. I don't want to say haunted or lost; however, it feels sad, yet peaceful. Even sacred. I liked this painting very much after I finished it.
